Kevah works to catalyze, facilitate and support pluralistic study of traditional Jewish texts. We enable adults to explore the spiritual and intellectual richness of the Jewish textual tradition in a comfortable setting. Regardless of one’s background knowledge or level of ritual observance, study of classical Jewish texts can facilitate personal growth, build Jewish community, add depth and nuance to Jewish communal policies, and improve interfaith relations.
Kevah’s core values are: educational excellence, accessibility of sources, and principled pluralism. The organization supports small group Jewish learning through the creation of Kevah Groups – micro-communities of 8-16 people with a shared affinity principle who will be empowered to take ownership of their Jewish and spiritual lives.
Lippman Kanfer Foundation for Living Torah has provided support to Kevah to enable it to develop vehicles for sharing best practices and other resources among its educators.
