Bible Raps is an innovative educational initiative aimed at exciting young Jewish students about Judaism and Jewish heritage, using rap and hip hop to enliven core Jewish texts. After being turned on to Torah learning while on a Livnot trip to Israel in 2006, founder Matt Bar launched Bible Raps via his participation in the PresenTense Institute during the summer of 2007. Since then, the organization has reached tens of thousands of young Jewish with Torah-rich performances in schools, Hillels, conferences and camps across the US and abroad.

Check out some of their videos here, or listen to Matt Bar’s unique sound on iTunes or SoundCloud.

Lippman Kanfer Foundation for Living Torah support was used to create a digital curriculum, deepening and extending the Bible Raps workshop experience by allowing participants to annotate and comment on Bible Raps songs.
